Leon’s Fine Poultry & Oyster Shop

The Oyster Shed at Leon’s –  The Oyster Shed is a hidden oasis, tucked away in the hear of Charleston behind Leon’s Oyster Shop.  Perfect for your next private event, the space offers the same laid-back experience and good food you’ve come to love at Leon’s.  We invite you to enjoy a different event experience: a less formal, more relaxed gathering; kick back, laugh loudly, and enjoy your celebration.

Within a historic Charleston home, our space takes cues from much of the reclaimed, comfortable charm that makes LEON’S so inviting. Picture reclaimed wood, high ceilings, exposed beams, original brick, and the same lighting featured in our LEON’S dining room, as well as a custom built community table which seats 24. This intimate space can expand in size, opening onto a private brick patio, beautifully illuminated and landscaped, that can accommodate an additional 36 guests.

Our food and beverage menus are designed to encourage the type of casual, welcoming, family-style environment one comes to anticipate at the best gatherings of the Lowcountry.

The Restaurant – A local favorite, Leon’s Fine Poultry & Oyster Shop is a comfortable Southern joint serving fried chicken, oysters, lots of salads, cheap beer, soft serve, Rose on tap, tons of grower Champagne, and good cocktails.

As with any true neighborhood restaurant, LEON’S is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner – and throughout the day, the kitchen doesn’t close. We believe you should be able to stop in at any time of day and have a proper experience without being limited to an abbreviated menu.

We’ve been fortunate enough to have been welcomed by Charleston and beyond. LEON’S has been recognized as a leader in Charleston’s food scene by Bon Appetit, Food & Wine, Conde Nast Traveler, New York Times, James Beard Foundation, Travel & Leisure, EATER, and more, and we look forward to welcoming you to our little corner of King Street.
