Located at the Woolfe Street Playhouse, the Village Playhouse and Repertory company is now in the eleventh season of professional theatre East of the Cooper. What began in the summer of 2001 in a converted storefront next to a grocery store has become one of South Carolina’s leading professional theatres, dramatically changing the cultural landscape of the lowcountry. We are proud of the more than 110 mainstage productions that have graced our stages since we opened our doors. Village Playhouse and Rep produces more than 150 nights of theatre each season. Under the leadership of founding Artistic Director Keely Enright and Managing Director Dave Reinwald, the Village currently welcomes more than 10,000 patrons into the Playhouse each year.
